Planning with Jessica: yearly goals

|

Hello, friends! It’s Jessica again. Today I want to talk to you about goals for the upcoming year.

Setting yearly goals is a powerful tool for achieving success and personal growth. By using a goal tracker, you can effectively organize your thoughts and actions, review your achievements, and adjust your plans as needed. Start today, and let this year be one of reaching new heights!

The trackers I will be using today are available for download on our website. You can also check out our app through the link below, where you can find a wealth of exclusive content: planners, stickers, trackers, and covers.

Let’s break down how to effectively use a goal tracker.

1. Identify Key Areas of Life

The tracker highlights the main areas of life such as health and fitness, finances, career, romance, personal development, and others. Start by assessing which of these areas need your attention this year.

2. Formulate Specific Goals

Based on the chosen areas of life, write down 1-3 specific goals in each category. Use the SMART method to make them clearer. Examples:

  1. Health and Fitness: “Exercise 4 times a week.”
  2. Finances: “Save 20% of income every month.”
  3. Personal Development: “Read 12 self-development books this year.”

3. Plan Actions

After writing down the goals, think about specific actions that will help you achieve them. Set aside time to take small steps.

We will explore this point in more detail below.

4. Regularly Update Your Tracker

Periodically return to your tracker to assess how you are progressing towards your goals and make adjustments if necessary.

Don’t be afraid to change your goals throughout the year. This is normal since you are changing too. You can also add new goals in any area as they come up.

5. Celebrate Achievements

Don’t forget to acknowledge your successes, even the small ones. This will help maintain your motivation and allow you to see progress.

Now, let’s detail the goal “Improve qualifications through courses.”

I would like to take psychology courses. So let’s fill in the tracker with this example.

First, I write down the goal and my motivation. Primarily, knowledge in psychology will be very useful in my work, as I interact a lot with people.

Next, we move on to the required resources and strategies for completing the course. Consistency is crucial in achieving any goal. If you dedicate time daily (or, for example, twice a week) to pursuing your goal, you will definitely succeed.

Now, we need to break down the larger goal into several smaller ones and write specific steps for each. It would also be great to set a deadline for achieving each small goal. This way, reaching the overall result will be easier.

For decoration, I add a few stickers from our app. Try decorating your notes too; this will make you want to return to your entries again and again.

That’s it. I hope this article helps you navigate and set your goals for the upcoming year.

Thank you for reading.

See you!
Your Jessica
