Planning with Jessica: book tracker

|

Hello everyone! Jessica is back. Today I want to talk to you about book lists and reading in general.

Recently, I created a small list of books that I want to read in the next 4 months. To make the most of it, I also write small book reviews in my planner. For creating the list and reviews, I use trackers that you can find on this website.

We also have an app with exclusive content: planners, trackers, stickers for decoration, and covers. You can download the app using the button below.

Let me start by sharing my small list with you. You can also take advantage of it.

This time, I chose the book “The Great Gatsby” by American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald. Recently, my friend Lily and I rewatched the film of the same name, and she highly recommended this book to me.

By the way, I also noted a small rule here – “Read 40 pages a day.” This is the minimum I want to stick to, and I plan to increase the number whenever I have free time.

I want to share a small life hack – before I start reading, I divide the book into equal parts (in this case, about 40 pages each) and put a bookmark on each of them. This method helps me to clearly see the nearest goal.

Now, let’s move on to the review. First, I fill in the main information – title, author, genre, year of release, and the rest.

Now, the most interesting part – the review. They say that in order to remember a book better, you need to talk about it. In reality, I really enjoyed “The Great Gatsby,” even though I read the book after watching the film. In this case, the movie helps to immerse oneself in the atmosphere faster and visualize the characters.

Favorite moments. I describe them a bit generally but in such a way that it will be clear in the future when I return to this page.

The quotes that stuck with me the most are the words of Nick Carraway; those are what I noted in this section.

I also added some stickers in the form of torn paper, which you can find in our app. And I couldn’t resist inserting one of the very vivid scenes from the movie here.

We shade the rating stars on the book list, and that’s it!

Thank you so much for reading me. I hope I motivated you just a little to read. The main thing in this matter is to start.

See you!
Your Jessica
